VIJAYAWADA: The Dispute Legislative Assembly handed Andhra Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund (Modification) Bill, 2022, and AP Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies (Modification) Bill, 2022.

Transferring the welfare fund invoice, labour minister Gummanur Jayaram acknowledged the invoice provides for appointing a vice-chairman as member of the Labour Welfare Board to enhance the latter’s functioning and make positive that all welfare schemes come in to each eligible beneficiary with transparency.

Jayaram went on to criticise the erstwhile TD govt and praised Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan as contemporary trinity – Brahma, Vishnuvu and Maheswarudu.

Agriculture minister Kurasala Kannababu acknowledged the cooperative societies’ amendment invoice levies professional tax on employees working for 45,305 mutually aided cooperative societies.

Assembly handed each the bills by disclose vote.
