NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice N V Ramana on Tuesday authorized the proposal for the appointment of nine extra judges of the Madras high court docket as eternal judges.
The Collegium in a gathering held this day took the resolution and the resolution was uploaded on the apex court docket web set up of abode.
The nine extra judges of the Madras high court docket whose names were authorized are — Justices Govindarajulu Chandrasekharan, Veerasamy Sivagnanam, Ganesan Ilangovan, Ananthi Subramanian, Kannammal Shanmuga Sundaram, Sathi Kumar Sukumara Kurup, Murali Shankar Kuppuraju, Manjula Ramaraju Nalliah, and Thamilselvi T Valayapalayam.
Moreover this, the Collegium has also authorized the proposal for the appointment of 4 extra judges of the Kerala high court docket as eternal judges.
The names which were authorized are — Justices Murali Purushothaman, Ziyad Rahman A A, Karunakaran Babu, and Dr. Justice Kauser Edappagath.
The Collegium has also resolved to counsel that Justice A A Nakkiran be appointed as extra pick of the Madras high court docket for a new interval of time of 1 year with derive from December 3, 2022.
Moreover Ramana, Justices U U Lalit and A M Khanwilkar are portion of the three-member Collegium which takes decisions with regards to the high court docket judges.
